Agra has been referred as Arya Griha, the recidential place of Aryans.  It has been one of the most powerful cities in the medivial times.

Agra was ruled by various mughal rulers. Babur, the founder of mughal dynasty also ruled in Agra for quite some time. Akbar, the great emperor during those times has a significant contribution to agra, he built the Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri near Agra, which was the capital of Agra for about 15 years.Jahangir built lot of beautiful gardens in and around Agra.

Shahjahan built the Taj in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, The Taj mahal is an architectural wonder. It is visited by tourists from the whole world.


CLIMATE OF AGRA 
The climate of Agra is tropical. Summers are extremely hot and the maximum temperature can be as high as 45 degree Celsius, while winters are cold and foggy. There is heavy rains and high humidity during the monsoon season.
